Nutrition is the cornerstone of good health; what you eat and the nutrients from your food affect how your body functions. Your diet and eating habits affect every system and every cell. Your diet affects your digestion, hormones, mood, energy, and heart. Food is full of complex, biologically active molecules that have an immense impact on our health.
I’m often asked what’s the best diet for weight loss. As there is no one-size-fits-all, I prefer to work with a well-balanced diet combined with regular exercise but even this does not always work. Personalising your plan to suit your needs is crucial in the process of regained health and wellness or weight loss. Underlying causes of poor digestion or health can be explored with my help as a nutritional health practitioner.
Certain foods have been shown in research to have a therapeutic effect on health conditions. Poor nutrition can lead to reduced immunity, increased susceptibility to disease, impaired physical and mental development, and reduced productivity.
We are what we eat and what we digest. By learning and understanding about the nutritional values of our food, we can help ourselves to reach optimal nutritional health.
